Great place on the beach. Actually right on the beach. They have indoor dining when It's too hot to sit outside. Or, you can get a table right next to the sand. They have a beautiful view of the Gulf and they have a wide variety of sandwiches and other dishes I've eaten here quite a few times They have a great sunset too. I've seen some really Great music played here. They also have a DJ with air conditioned dance floor inside. This place can hold hundreds and hundreds of people. It's a very huge facility with beach access. It does have the touristy thing going on. It's nice to go to every once in a while.
I have always been to this place at to party at night. This was my first time have a meal here, and I have to say that I was surprised. The staff was very friendly, and we got to sit on a beach front table, which was really nice. They have happy hour drink prices until 6pm. We ordered the Sesame Tuna Wonton appetizer, and it was so good and FRESH! I kinda was expecting seafood to be good here, after all they are right there in the ocean. The tuna had a creamy wasabi sauce on top, not too strong or spicy, but great to compliment the tuna. The wontons were crispy. My husband had the black and blue burger, and it was HUGE! The flavors were great, and the french fries were really crispy. I had the Gulf Shrimp Grilled Dinner. It came with 12 (large size) shrimps, hushpuppies, and a side of brussels sprouts. The only think I did not like were the brussel sprouts, they were a little burnt, but overall the plate was great, and I couldn't finish the whole thing. Last but not least, the PINA COLADA!!!! I was skeptical, because is it not made to order (they have it in one of those daiquiries machines), but OMG it was sweet and strong, just how I like my coladas...
Back for dinner this trip. The restaurant location right on the beach with the open air seating and multiple bars is one of the coolest restaurants ever. If I were rating it strictly on that, it would be a solid five stars. The food was good, but not five star, so I'm knocking my rating down to four. We had the smoked tuna appetizer which tasted like average tuna salad, just okay. My husband had the shrimp crab cakes which were delicious, but a very small portion, IMO. I had the shrimp and brisket mac and cheese for something different and boy was it ever different. Absolutely loaded with cheese. I rarely say anything has too much cheese, but I'm afraid that's the case with this dish. There were only a few shrimp and I barely saw any brisket. There may have been a couple of flecks of brisket, but definitely not what I was expecting. The flavor was good though and the portion was HUGE, so if you're hungry and aren't concerned about an imminent heart attack, go for it! We'll still go back, because the outstanding view from almost every seat definitely kicked the flavor of the average food up several notches. It's still one of my favorite places to go!
As a vegetarian, I didn't expect much of the food at Spinnaker's but I enjoyed what I did receive. The cheese curds with dipping sauce was excellent. As far as the salads, they seemed overpriced for not having meat and being a fairly average portion size. Alcohol to me here is expensive. I was asking the waittress how much the dirty martini was and she ended up coming back with the martini rather than the price - it was quite expensive for what I'd expect from a rail martini. The beer/regular prices are not bad for the establishment and all the sites/sounds it offers. I very much like the expansiveness of the building and the ocean side views. I will definitely be back.
Spinnaker had become a staple when we visit PCB! The sunset views can not be beat! Many times they have live music for an added bonus. The food has always been great and has continued to improve over the last few years. The portions a huge!!! The only downside is, the wait staff has always been just so-so. This is the one area they could improve on. Thankfully, the views, food and atmosphere make up for it, so we tend to overlook that part of it. We will continue to come back!
This place is cool, I'm a fan. Came here for a late lunch/early dinner this past weekend with a few friends so I don't really have any complaints about the place. We were seated promptly, our server was nice and courteous, and our food came out and was good as well. This place is a huge night club in the evening, and a good sit-down restaurant during the day, so definitely a good place for groups and large parties looking to hang out for a while and drink and eat appetizers. We were seated right near the ocean, so it was nice to hear the waves while we were eating. They also have a good happy hour deal going on between 4:00pm and 6:00pm, so we definitely took advantage of that for the beverages. For food, we ordered the calamari and the crab-collard greens dip, and I ordered the spinach cobb salad for an entrée. I was pleased with the food, as I thought it wouldn't be that good since this place is known for being more like a club instead of a restaurant. The cobb salad was quite tasty and had a ton of toppings on it, so I was satisfied with my meal. The appetizers we ordered were on point as well, so we were happy with that. I will say though, this place is somewhat pricey for food, for what you get, but I can largely assume that it's because you're paying for the location to eat by the water, so you definitely cannot be upset by that! Also, this place can be touristy since it's in a prime spot in PCB, but that's to be expected since it's also right next to the largest club in the US (club La Vela). Overall, my experience here was good, so I would come back to this place when I'm in town!
This is the place that finally made me fall for Panama Beach City. Why oh I do I say so.. Well yes, there are some nice collection of beach side restaurants out here but this is right now. Your view is right there right in front of you. In addition, they have their own beach chairs and shaded tiki area for you to sit on the beach and chill afterwards. Yes this was my fave place. Oh the breeze felt so good. So we ordered what we would order at Red Robin. I know sounds weird some of you may love or hate that place. But this is different. Hubby's pineapple teriyaki marinated burger was HUGE and flavorful. The fries were very tasty too. Different texture that other plain ones at other places. I ordered Hawaiian Chicken Sliders marinated in teriyaki sauce and pineapple on top. There were two of them. They were a good size. Both of these were 8.95 and 7.95 respectively. I love this place so much and it's atmosphere, and wish I could have been here on the weekend instead of a Monday but still loved it. This place is not Pet Friendly, but Mocha did not come with us this time.
